Repell’em Trash Bags – Learn Why Repell’em Bags Repel Pests
These Earth-friendly bags use natural scented oils that repel insects, dogs, cats, skunks, and other pests from clawing into your trash. Repell-em bags are extra thick, can be reused several times before it is practical to discard. The active ingredient in Repell-em bags attracts natural microbial bacteria that, when subjected to heat and moisture, will eat away and decompose the bag into all natural earth in 1 to 7 years. The biodegradation process is both aerobic and anaerobic meaning the bag’s material will decompose into earth in a landfill, with or without the presence of oxygen.
Eco-Smart Trash Bags – These Earth-friendly bags are Repell’em branded without the anti-pest scent and slightly less expensive.
Cereplast Compostable Trash Bags – Learn More About Cereplast Bags
Cereplast products are renewable, ecologically sound substitutes for plastic products. They break down in 60 - 180 days when placed in an industrial compost facility. The resins used are environmentally neutral, and do not require fossil fuels to produce. They contain bio-based, sustainable material such as corn, wheat, tapioca and potato starches. The trash bags meet BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) standards for compostability (ASTM 6400 D99 and ASTM 6868), and European Bioplastics standards (EN 13432).
